Quarry Marina, Lake Norfork’s marina closest to the dam, is operated by the Richard Hanson family. The Hanson family, formerly of Memphis, enhances Quarry Marina’s facility and the services offered annually. Richard and Cheri are at the marina between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m., seven days a week during the busy season, often receiving help from their three children. They purchased the marina in June of 1997.
They love boating, so they offer boating and skiing enthusiasts on Lake Norfork the finest in equipment sales and rentals -- O’Brien equipment and apparel. O’Brien wake boards and slalom skis are always available at Quarry.
Richard has been coming to Lake Norfork to vacation since he was a child. Since he is comfortable around the water, he helps customers with their selection of life jackets, ski ropes, inner tubes and all kinds of skis, from learners to slalom.
Fishing and pontoon boats can be rented with or without a reservation. Need skis or tubes? Quarry Marina has them for rent or sale. A mechanic is on hand if a problem does occur with any boat.

Vacationers can pick up souvenirs while at the marina. Choose swimsuits, t-shirts, towels, huggies, suntan lotions and sunglasses, and best of all, cameras for those never forgotten times on Lake Norfork.
The summer of 1998 saw the 200-stall dock improved with new walkways. A new larger gas dock was completed in March of 1999 along with the addition of 24 bigger (10’ x 28’) covered stalls for the newer models of boats. Spring ‘02 saw the arrival of new 25’ pontoons with a “hard” roof sundeck. Come on down and see the Hansons and take a spin on Lake Norfork from the dock nearest the dam.
In 2007, a new Break Water Dock and 24 additional stalls were added to bring the dock total to 225 stalls. A marine pumpout is available for waste water holding tanks. In 2010, a floating restroom is being installed.
